Essential Skills Online (ESO) is the online assessment used for entrance into the Tractor Trailer Internship program in Atlantic Canada. Essential Skills are the skills that are required to complete most occupational tasks.
We are very pleased to be working with The Essential Skills Group Inc, who have created an online option for essential skills testing. Prior to the online version, the test was administered and completed manually. Having the online version allows candidates to complete the assessment in the privacy of their own home and environment.
Overview
The Essential Skills Online Assessment is designed to help you evaluate your skills and compare them to the requirements for the Professional Truck Driver occupation.
Skills Assessed
The platform evaluates a range of skills, including reading, listening, numeracy, problem-solving, digital literacy, speaking, and writing. The specific assessments you
are required to complete may vary depending on your individual needs.
Personalized Results and Learning Plan
After completing the assessment, each participant will receive a detailed report along with a free, customized learning plan tailored to their unique skill set.
The Assessment Process
No advance studying is necessary for the Essential Skills Online Assessment, as it consists of multiple-choice questions. Each question is accompanied by a document to read, and the questions are based on the information contained within the assessment materials.
The assessment is conducted entirely online, allowing you to complete it at your convenience and in your own environment. There is no time limit, so you can take as much time as you need to finish.
Receiving Your Results
Results are typically issued within a few hours after the assessment is completed. The exact timeframe may vary depending on the time at which you finish the assessment.
If your initial results do not meet the minimum requirements, you have the opportunity to retake the assessment at no cost. The customized learning plan provided is an excellent resource to help you achieve your desired outcomes.
